The way you learn, the way you perceive the world around you, and the way you handle what life offers you, is entirely different from anyone else. These unique qualities persist as you change, adapt, evolve, grow, discover, break down, and re-build.

What is Inner Wellness?
Inner Wellness is an all-inclusive state of being in harmony with our inner self and the outer world. It is an active process of awakening, acknowledging, and making intentional choices to live a healthy and fulfilling life. It is a dynamic process of change and growth…a state of well-being.
Why is Inner Wellness important?
Inner Wellness is critical to our overall well-being and health. Inner Wellness promotes our happiness. It equips us to deal with ALL of the many aspects of life in a more healthy and positive way. Inner Wellness matters because everything we do and every emotion we feel, relates to our well-being. In turn, our well-being directly affects our behavior and actions. Therefore, it is important for everyone to achieve optimal wellness in order to subdue stress, reduce the risk of illness and ensure positive interactions and relationships with ourselves and others. The pursuit of happiness, health, personal growth, and improved quality of life relies on living a balanced life. To achieve this balance and Inner Wellness, we need to care for and harmonize our mind, body and spirit. Inner Wellness must be achieved in order to effectively navigate your very own healing journey.

We often attempt to address issues on one aspect of wellness while failing to realize that issues that arise in one area affect all areas. For example, weight loss seems to be a physical journey, and in many ways it is. To address physical wellness only, I would recommend a personal trainer. However, committing to a strict workout plan without addressing the emotional issues that cause over-eating or changing toxic and defeating thoughts about your body, physical changes will likely be temporary. If over-eating is a response to stress or an abusive relationship, these mental, emotional and spiritual issues must be addressed if physical changes are to last. Therefore, I subscribe to a holistic Inner Wellness approach.
We all have four aspects of self that are interconnected. These four areas are mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical (mind, heart, body, and spirit). In order to have balance and experience inner well-being, we must embrace wellness in all four areas.
